Knitting - Casting On
Casting on is the first step in learning how to knit. To master this skill, I recommend casting on as many as you want. You can easily pull the needle out from the stitches cast on, unravel the yarn and reuse it again.
Make sure that each stitch that you cast on is snug but not too tight. If your yarn or squeaking or you're having difficulties getting the tip of your needle in, loosen up a bit. Wrap the yarn around your fingers as shown so you can maintain a more even tension. Wrapping the yarn like this will also help if the stitches you've cast on are too loose.
When you're ready, we'll move on to the Knit Stitch.
